Distance Between You and Your Thoughts Equals Freedom

We all have trauma to work through in this life…we seem to rarely encounter the tools necessary to do so, successfully…

I’m grateful to have found one tool that has worked for me…

Late in 2022, I hit a major roadblock in my life. I had been ready for it to end for some time. No matter how much I thought I was exuding love, I really had no idea what love is. My (negative) thoughts had become “me”.

In this state, we resort to all sorts of compulsive behaviors…working too much or not enough, consuming too much or too little, seeking out the next medicine or substance…all to (hopefully) find and embody peace, joy and happiness.

For me, some days were more difficult than others…

Cancer…insomnia…anxiety…depression…I seemed to be on a continuous loop to find a way out…out of the disarray and discombobulation that had become my life.

This was all occurring within me and allowed for the outward manifestations we call DIS-ease to take shape.

One night, I looked up at the stars and pleaded, “cancer, just take me”. Well, it did…

So much positivity has happened in my life in less than a year and a half.

I attribute a lot of my healing to the friendship I’ve developed with close family members, horses, trees, nature, the earth, and most importantly, myself…

One powerful tool on this journey which is impossible to ignore: Sadhguru’s Inner Engineering program

It’s helped change my life more than anything I’ve experienced.

For me, it’s not about worshiping some supposed Godman or subscribing to religious dogma (while I’m sure some can and do take it that direction)…it’s given me a quite simple but incredibly powerful method to create (among many other things) a certain distance between that which is “me” and my thoughts.

Depressive thoughts of the past and anxious thoughts of the future used to plague and overtake my existence in the present.

A simple process, coupled with grace and the devotion to actual practice has forever altered my life for the better. I’ve been healed of seemingly innumerable DIS-ease symptoms.

मोक्ष “Moksha” is the ancient Sanskrit word for liberation…freedom…

I’ve found it and an entirely new perception of life. You can too.
